Brexit Information & Guidance
Dear Valued Customer,
Please find below information and guidance related to shipping from the UK to EU countries post-Brexit:
VAT
- We no longer charge VAT on any goods shipping to the EU. However, as far as we understand VAT is applicable when the goods are being cleared into the EU from a non-EU country (as has always been the case). Provided you have a valid VAT number we believe you should be able to claim all VAT charges back.
- We understand that in nearly every European country there is a VAT Deferment Scheme in place to assist. We suggest that you contact your local customs office and ask them for further details.
Duty
- Customs duties are suspended for goods imported into the EU with an Authorised Release Certificate (EASA Form 1, FAA 8130-3 or equivalent). Please find the following link to the EU website that confirms this: https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/business/calculation-customs-duties/what-is-common-customs-tariff/suspensions_en#heading_1
- When your goods have shipped from our warehouse, we are emailing the purchaser the tracking details, a commercial invoice* and copies of our Release Note(s) with all certification to allow you to complete the clearance with your chosen shipper.
*Our Commercial Invoice includes all necessary information required for customs when shipping into the EU including all commodity codes
Before deciding which courier to use we suggest you discuss with your local account representative what they have in place to clear customs and deliver quickly and efficiently.
If you need clarification on any of the above points or have a requirement for information/documentation regarding a specific shipment please email [email protected] and we will reply as soon as possible. In terms of general advice for clearing shipments into your Country you will need to contact your local customs office.
